A big big THANK YOU
Hey all! now that the hype has started to settle down just a bit I wanted to give a big big THANK YOU to everyone who has bought the Best of 2024 TTRPG Bundle in support of the Transgender Empowerment Project! With the help of Rowan Zeoli and Polygon the bundle has raised over 12k, with still two weeks left to grab it. I'm only a participant and not the host of the bundle, but I think everyone has been blown away by the response, and the cause it is going towards is incredibly valuable in times like these. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say the contributions you have made literally change lives (including but not limited to my cats, who got a new cat tree with the 1% split I got from it).
I also wanted to thank everyone who has downloaded Darkest Hour, the game that I put into the mix! I really like it, and I hope those of you who have it will give it a read! If you do and you like what you see, I would love it if you would rate and/or review it! Not just for the metrics or reach, I just love to hear what people think, and game design so often feels like throwing bottles out into the ocean without knowing if anyone will ever see it, let alone play it, let alone enjoy their time with it.
Because of the resounding success of the Best of 2024 bundle, I'm planning on putting together the first supplement(!!!) for Darkest Hour! It will have an as-of-yet undetermined amount of new locales, new haunts and new playbooks. I'm fairly certain there's a way to make it free to those of you who bought the bundle, but if not it will have one million community copies available (and even then it would only cost like, a dollar or two). I hope you'll keep an eye out for it!
Also while I'm here, I wanted to invite you to follow me on bluesky! I've divested myself of all other social media besides tumblr, and I've been posting a lot of my work over there as it's really gotten rolling. So if you are interested in updates on what I'm working on, snippets of my novel or short stories, or just the day to day of a Real Game Maker Em ™️, I've been on that grind. Check it out over at gamemakerm.blsky.social and say hi!
Once again thank you for all of the donations, downloads and all of your wonderful feedback and support! I hope the games we've made can provide some comfort and light even in the darkest of hours.
